Hello, my name is Diane Arender. My husband and I are Missionaries to the Ilocano speaking people of North Luzon, Philippines. As the Filipinos say "by God's Grace you visited me today". I am so glad you are here and pray there is something here that will bless you and encourage you. As you travel through Potters Clay Ministry I pray that you will be able to see our heart for the Philippines and the people there. But most important I pray that you will able to see Jesus in us.
The heart of the ministry is Church Planting. However, close to my heart is the women's ministry, WIN "Women In Need". WIN wants to reach out to the needs of the women and children, not to change their culture but to show them we care by helping them with their physical needs; medical, food and clothing. Then we bring them into the most important part of our ministry. Showing them and telling them about the One who loves them so much that He died for their sins. We put all direction toward Jesus Christ. We teach them the Word of God and let the Holy Spirit do a work in their heart that only He can do.
WIN has Doctors' that go with us to do medical missions. Area Hospitals and Pharmacy's donate medical supplies to these Doctors for their work in the Philippines. So many people in North Luzon have never had medical help. Area churches donate clothes to be shipped ahead of us for distribution when we arrive. The look in the eyes of a little girl or little boy when they receive a nice dress or nice pair of pants and shirt is priceless. The Philippines is a third world country and very poor. Material things are not important to them. I have learned so much from the Filipino people. Their hearts are real and friendships true.
WIN also has a feeding program. The Feeding program is a big prayer request. This program could have a big impact on the people in the mountain area and in the rebel territory. Potters Clay and WIN is trying to get into the Rebel territory to minister. Doors are being opened so please pray for us on this request.
WIN also hands out Bibles and Tracts. The other programs of WIN will help the physical needs. But Bibles and Tracts will give us the opportunity to share with them Eternal Life through Jesus Christ. The schools will allow us to give out Bibles, there is only one rule, we have to have enough to give one to every child in the school.
WIN is teaching the women of the established churches how to reach out to the needs of community around them. WIN is also teaching the women the biblical way of the home and church. Their culture is very different and it can sometimes be difficult for them to understand God's plan for the home and church. God is working in the Philippines and I know that His plan will be accomplished there.

We believe in the power of prayer and we know that the effectiveness of this ministry will come from the support of dedicated Christians who partner with us in prayer. A great part of the success of our mission rest on those who partner with us in prayer.
