The
fact that I am a woman does not make me a different kind of Christian, but the
fact that I am a Christian makes me a different kind of woman. For I have
accepted God's idea of me, and my whole life is an offering back to Him of all
that I am and all that He wants me to be.

I was raised in a Christian Home, and taught to love and obey God. In June, 1970 I gave my life and heart to Jesus as my Savior. My parents are wonderful and loving parents. They made sure I was in Church and they always tried to teach me the right things of life according to "thus saith the Lord". My mother was a working mother so I spent alot of time with my grandmother (my dad's mom). The one person that I wanted my life to be patterned by was her. She loved the Lord in a way that was and still is so real and genuine. She gave of her talents for the Lord without question. She taught me about being a Christian, how to be a lady, a wife, a mother and now I want to be like the grandmother she was and still is to me. She is 97 years old and still ministering to the ones who can not read the Word of God or Sunday School lessons for themselves. She is in the nursing home (of her own choice) ministering to the shut-in's as she calls them. She is truly a remarkable Lady and the one I will always pattern my life after. Because looking at her the reflection of Jesus Christ is surely there. The Lord has been there for me throughout the good times and bad times, the funny stories and the sad stories. I am putting some of these stories in the form of devotions, so please keep checking for them to be on this site.

All Christian women should be courageous, patient, longsuffering,
joyous, loving, kind, and flexible. Yet, she also has to be mother, wife,
homemaker, nurse, teacher, etc. I am sure that you get the picture.
But, you know what? When my husband answered his call into the ministry
twenty years ago, I was not qualified, how could I be a Pastor's wife, I was
doing all I could do being a mother and wife, working a full time job and
keeping my home in order! God, help me! And, you know what? He did!
God is there for us just in time. He comforted me and has never left me
since. Now, sometimes I have put Him behind me thinking I could do things
better my way, but found out very quickly I was not in control. My husband
has answered a new call from God, "Missionary", please pray for me on this new
quest for the Lord. I am now a grandmother "Granna" and leaving my
children and grandchildren behind is going to be the hardest thing I have yet
been asked to do. As Christians we make sacrifices and my husband and I
are obedient to the call of God. We fear for our family if we do not
answer God on this call. God expects us to obey Him whatever the cost.
He will sustain and take care of it all.

We are going to be your missionaries to the North Luzon, Philippines. The
women of the Philippines need ministering to and this is a task the Lord has
given me to accomplish for Him. The Lord and I will be starting a Women's
Outreach Ministry in the Philippines. WIN "Women In Need". (Please
click on WIN to learn more about this ministry). The needs over there are
great and the women need to know that God loves them and cares for them.
We have come to love the Filipino people and when we arrived there, we knew that
we were "home".

God is still molding me for His service and glory. God is never finished
with our lives until we meet Him face to face. Therefore, I know that God
is still taking me and shaping me as the potter does the clay to make me a
better woman for His ministry. I pray every day to be the wife, mother,
grandmother and the woman that He wants me to be and to do everything that
glorifies Him in my life. Please visit Devotions. There are some on being
a wife, mother, grandmother and the women Jesus expects us to be.

Who ever you are and what ever walk of life you come from, a Pastor's wife,
Missionary's wife, Deacon's wife or Christian woman be encouraged, because God
is your refuge and your fortress. One of my favorite Scriptures is Psalm
91:1,2 "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under
the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, ' He is my refuge and
my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust."

If you are a woman without Christ in your life, know that He wants to be
your Savior and your fortress. Read Romans 10:9; Romans 10:13; John 3:16
and Romans 5:8. Also, you can contact us on our web site for any help you
may need or for prayer. Also go to " What We Believe" for
more info.
