As Christians we should not be amazed at the hand of God working in our lives. We should expect to see Him work, but I just can never cease to be amazed at why He would even want to hear my prayers. But not only does He hear me but He answers "exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us." He has answered so many of my petitions this past month. I do know that the closer you draw to Him the more He draws us to pray. My dear brothers and sisters (kabkabsat ko) if you are not drawn to pray then you need to check on your fellowship with the Father. The closer we get to someone the more we want to talk to them and Jesus is not different. We should long for the fellowship that only He can give us. He always meets us in our prayer closets and a lot of the time He is there waiting on us because we are late getting there. Over the next month let me challenge you to spend more time in prayer and our King will do in our lives what only He can do and you too will stand in amazement at the power of our Awesome God.

There they were, the rebels, patrolling on each side of the road with there (looked like new) M-16’s slung over there chest. One of the rebels had a bloody bandage on one of his hands. The blood was on both side so I presume he had gotten shot thru it. We went thru uneventful. These people need Jesus. No one goes up there because they are scared of them. We went on into Kalinga and arrived there about 10:00 at night. After we crossed the mountains where we saw the rebels we ran into rain. Once you cross this particular ridge line it goes from dry season to rainy season. The road that was once dusty now was muddy and our guide didn’t really know where we were going. I figured this out by our frequent stopping and asking directions. I hadn’t figured that out yet because they were no get off’s on this road except at the villages and most of these are rebel strong holds. We awoke and went and did a bible study. We were supposed to have on the night before but we didn’t get there in time. And once again God did what only He can do and that is open doors. My and Diane’s pray is "that God would open doors only He can open and shut doors that no one can open." We were in the bible study and I met a man, not just any man, but a man whose hearing was not real good because of rifles being fired by him, beside him and at him. He was a communist rebel and has gotten saved. Now he is negotiator between the rebels and the Philippine government. I spoke with him and He and another man are supposed to be setting us up to get to go back in there this summer (July) and meet with the rebels. We were told we could get a pass from the government and that more than likely we could get a pass from the rebels. What does this mean, if our prayer is answered and we get to meet with them and they allow us access to the villages then it will open the door for 20-25 villages (approx. 200,000- 250,000) people to hear the gospel who have never heard it before. Please fast and pray (yes fasting is still here and it still touches God’s heart) that God would grant us the money to go back and that these doors will continue to be opened for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Like Paul this is my prayer. "Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man’s foundation: 21) But as it is written, TO WHOM HE WAS NOT SPOKEN OF, THEY SHALL SEE: AND THEY THAT HAVE NOT HEARD SHALL UNDERSTAND". Romans 15:20,21

Please keep praying for us as we need His strength and His grace each and every day. We only want His will in our life. Please seek God on our behalf because we know we are being voted on by some churches for support and we are so ready to get to the field God has called us to.
